Never-Ending Circle

The Home-Ec Extension Club met monthly.
My grandmother would pack her picnic basket...
Plates, Cups, Silverware, Napkins...
And...
A Covered Dish...
Carried to the home of one of the Club Ladies...

In 1956, the St. John's Lutheran Sewing Circle...
Looked like my grandmother's Home Ec. Club...
The younger generation, though, was missing from both groups...
I am amazed at the generations...
That enter the doors at A Corner Cottage, where I work...
Little girls, learning to be big girls shopping with their mothers...
Teenage girls allowing their mothers to shop with them...
Young pregnant daughters enjoying a day with their mothers...
Sisters together...
Age-old friends meeting for lunch and shopping in Noblesville..

My grandmother taught me to open my home...
Where...
Generations could come together to learn the art of creating...

This week...
Headbands are cut from old tablecloth and linens...
Sewn by generational hands...
From 60 years---25 years...

As a result...
The creativity is shared...
At a shop where generations are embraced...

Blessings, Becky
